Kassel… washed with all waters

Dr. Astrid Wegener on the exhibition in Kassel:

“The title “Kassel…washed with all water” will be presented in five exhibitions presenting the manifold aspects of the element (https://museum-kassel.de/de/ausstellungen/kassel…-mit-allen-wassern-gewaschen). The collections of applied art and the castle museums provide an insight into the world of body care. The themes range from washing and bathing in general to the art of the toilet and the quiet little place. In the section “Men’s toilet” this shaving table would close a sensitive gap.

I always acquire works of high quality from private collectors. I also like to bring together clients, who are looking to sell one of their art works, and potential new buyers, so I can mediate for public and private collections. During the years, I have gained a lot of experience and hence have built a strong network of collectors and museums.

Our gallery in the heart of Dusseldorf

In 1977 Erwin Gierhards founded a gallery focusing on important furniture and art objects of the 18th century, which he established in 1978 on the Bilkerstraße in Düsseldorf.
